The UHSMA App was created by students to help solve a problem at school. Teachers were losing class time because students were always asking the same questions, like what is for lunch, where house meetings were, what the announcements were, and whose birthday it was. To help, students made an app that puts all of this information in one easy place. Since they had never made an app before, they had to learn new technology, figure out how app building works, and work through problems during the process. They worked with principals, teachers, and the technology coach to make sure the app was helpful and easy to use. This project helped students learn new skills while creating something that helps the whole school every day.
