After noticing that weekly food bags distributed by the school counselor were often left behind on buses, eighth-grade EAST students Jayla Hague, Whitley Floyd, and JB Bristow took action. They created recipe brochures to include in each bag, helping families turn the ingredients into complete, easy-to-make meals while reducing food waste. The team is also building an ArcGIS-powered community resource to expand access to support, and their brochures are already making an impact.
