ASAE - Arkansas Society of Association Executives 24th Excellence in Communications Awards.

On July 16th, 2019, the EAST Communications team received its fourth Excellence in Communications Award through the acknowledgment of the members in ASAE. Composed of executives from the state of Arkansas with the support of neighboring states like Mississippi, ASAE recognizes organizations and private associations for their hard work in the field of communications.

EAST was recognized in the Overall Campaign category. This category required the submission of a multifaceted media strategy utilizing multiple mediums for an event, program, campaign, or educational awareness efforts as well as the analytic results by which success is measured.

The EAST Conference is an annual event hosted each March by EAST, an educational nonprofit organization that promotes technology-driven, project-based education in service to the community. Conference is a three-day event during which all EAST schools are invited to share and celebrate the work. The conference communications plan is used to inform, engage, and celebrate the multigenerational audience of attendees, sponsors, and exhibitors in the months leading up to the event throughout the closing ceremony.

“This win was meaningful to the team for multiple reasons,” says Communications Coordinator, Apryl Jackson who has been with EAST a little less than a year. “Collaboration is one of EAST core principles and we —Lani Jennings-Hall (Marketing and Events) and Diana Denning (Designer)— worked hard to develop a plan that would tell the EAST story in a unique way for all.”
