About Mildred Franco

Mildred J. Franco earned her Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering with a Minor in Management from McGill University. After graduation, she worked in the oil industry in the areas of production and international marketing in Venezuela, and oil trading in New York City. She cofounded CHI Computers + Solutions, LLC, an internet retail provider of computer products and services to educational institutions across the U.S.; she served as the CEO. Ms. Franco is very active in the non-profit space in organizations that support the arts, innovation, and entrepreneurship. In addition to the EAST board, she currently serves on the advisory board of the Arkansas Discovery Network and she has been a member of The Arkansas Arts Council for the past 18 years, serving as Council Chair from 2012-2014. She is currently the Executive Director of The Generator, an innovation hub powered by Go Forward Pine Bluff, the Coordinator of the Educational Alliance, an initiative of Go Forward Pine Bluff, and Co-Chair of a Workforce Development/Employability Training task force for Pine Bluff/Jefferson County.
