BrownTown Designs
During our Community Coffee event, our client and community partner, Mrs. Tima Brown, shared a real-world problem involving the labeling and packaging of her homemade laundry soap products. As an entrepreneur, she manages many responsibilities, so our team wanted to create a solution that would make her business more efficient while also helping her connect with customers through seasonal logo designs. She also wanted her logos’ to have BrownTown which is her company name and to keep her American-Indian style.
Using collaboration, creativity, and technology, our EAST team designed and applied custom labels utilizing Canva and Avery software. Team members Landon Carr, Jobani Arroyo, Gael Sanchez, Madeline Hawthorne, and Gracelyn Hoglund worked together to research designs, organize packaging ideas, and meet the needs of our community partner.
This project reflects the EAST model by combining authentic community service with student-led problem solving and technology-driven solutions. Not only did this project help Mrs. Brown improved her business process, but it also created a faster and more convenient way for members of our community to access her homemade laundry soap products.
