“Wonderview Word” is a monthly news segment produced by EAST students that highlights events, achievements, and stories from across the Wonderview School District. Each month, project leader Daniel Roberson researches story ideas, conducts interviews, edits audio, and prepares the final broadcast for the community.

This project emphasizes communication, collaboration, and real-world media production skills. Students work closely with teachers, administrators, and fellow students throughout the district to gather information and create meaningful content that represents the school community.

A key partnership for this project is with KVOM 101.7 FM in Morrilton, which broadcasts “Wonderview Word” to the local community each month during its morning “Newswatch” segment. This collaboration gives students an authentic audience and strengthens the connection between Wonderview Schools and the surrounding community.

Through Wonderview Word, students gain experience in journalism, broadcasting, interviewing, audio editing, and professional communication while sharing positive stories that keep the community informed and engaged.

“Wonderview Word” reflects EAST CART by encouraging critical thinking through story development and production planning, promoting student growth in broadcasting and communication skills, serving real clients and audiences through partnerships with Wonderview Schools and KVOM, and emphasizing teamwork through collaboration with students, staff, and community partners.
