The Nanny’s Box Project is an embroidery project. Carson, learned to sew last year in EAST and this year he went on to learn how to embroider. He wanted to use his skills in a viable project so he collaborated with our principal and school counselor and they decided that he would take on embroidery jobs, such as customizing jackets, towels, backpacks, etc. The payment for each job in a donation of a gift card. These gift cards are collected and delivered to the school counselor, who distributes them to students facing financial challenges or unexpected needs.

Carson, not only learned to operate the embroidery equipment, but also learned the softwares necessary to digitize and create original designs. He organized donations, and managed the process from start to finish. He also communicates with school staff to ensure the system runs smoothly and effectively. Through this project, students connect creative skills with service, turning artistic work into meaningful support for others. The Nanny’s Box Project strengthens community connections, encourages responsibility, and shows how student creativity can create real impact within the school environment.
