Cemetery Hill Memorial Park Clean-up

When our facilitator was out we had a substitute that mentioned how he cleaned the graves in previous years but was physically unable to do so now. When six boys from the class (Lane Smith, Roman Simpson, Ross Beck, Rayce Baumgartner, Conner Nastasi, and Micheal Shoffit) realized how the graves looked they researched ways to not only clean the graves but restore the ones that have been destroyed from weather and vandalism. They drove over during a class period and with a little soapy water and a steel brush that the guys bought they completely transformed a whole cemetery full of graves.

Right now, they're trying to partner with one of our own coaches that owns a cleaning company to get chemicals, joint adhesive, and concrete. The next step in the project is to rebuild the graves that are knocked over and destroyed. When we asked Rayce why he chose this project he said, "To prove to the older generation that we respect and still care about the history and legacy of Farmington."
