Faith McCoy, first year EAST student, is making 500 Hang Tags for Mr. Minniear, principle of Pottsville Upper Elementary. The hang tags will be given to the parents of elementary students who are car riders. These tags will make the pickup line run smoothly and quickly, the hang tags also help with not only the students safety but it also helps with the traffic.
The teachers of the upper elementary school wanted the hang Tags so they could identify the parents child quicker.
The parents use the hang tag by hanging them from rearview mirror inside the car. Then when the teachers see the name of the child on the hang tags they can call that child to come to the car and leave with their parent. The hang tags will also help the teachers because in order to get the child to the car the teachers would have to communicate through a megaphone and would say the child's name to the other teacher standing by the kids and then they would tell that kid to go to the car.
Creating the tags is a long process but a device called the cricut makes the job easier. the team had to laminate and use the Cricut to design and cut the tags. They learned from Youtube. Through this project, the team learned how to use the cricut software “design space” to cut, write, and create unique designs for our client.
