Two minutes is the prescribed time to pause, honour, and remember those who served—long enough to show respect, yet brief enough to be observed by all.
These EAST Students, Yocelin, Jillian, Emmy, from Pottsville Jr High understood the assignment when Pottsville Mayor Dusty Gray called and ask them to create a “Pottsville Veterans Wall of Honor” They began researching how they could create photo frames and provide an honorable way to remember the men and women who served for our country.
In their EAST Class they learned how to use a machine called a cricut to cut paper in to frame for the 54 photos they collected from veterans in our area. They also learned how to scan photos and print them with a large format plotter. The said the hardest part was making sure they labeled each photo correctly and not having duplicate photos. The EAST students believe no matter how hard it was this was a project very close to their hearts.
