We’re excited to share our project, Harvest Havens, which is all about providing free, fresh produce to students and their families. We partnered with Good Earth, a local gardening organization, who helped us with soil, seeds, and expert advice to get the garden growing.
Although we got a late start this year due to some changes at school, we didn’t let that hold us back. After catching up, we used Google Earth Pro to carefully choose the best location for our garden beds. We considered things like sunlight, accessibility, and how to make the most of the available space.
The Harvest Havens project is a great example of using critical thinking to solve real problems—like the fact that some families don’t always have easy access to fresh produce. Our team worked together to research, plan, map out the garden, and reach out to the community. It’s not just about growing food; it’s about growing a stronger sense of kindness, care, and community spirit.
