Graduate Sidewalks/Digital Yearbook

Lincoln Middle School

Over the years the engraved text on the sidewalks has become harder and harder to read. We would like to honor graduates before us so we have decided to put the names in an easier to read format. We now have a site, linked to a QR code on a sign near the sidewalks, where people can scan and view all of the graduate names. We are currently in the process of scanning yearbooks and adding photos to our site. We are collaborating with the Lincoln Public Library to get resources and guidance as well as sharing our site with them for them to share with the public. The timeline of this project is ongoing as there are always more photos and content to be added to make the site even more inviting.

The project is REAL, R in cart, because we have provided a historical preservation resource for our town.

The students use our HP Scanner to scan photos, Affinity Photo to edit, Google Sites to build and maintain the yearbook, and the Nikkon D3300 for photos.
