This system was initiated to enhance safety measures for door locking mechanisms, particularly focusing on outward-opening doors. Designed with emergency situations in mind, this project provides teachers with a reliable means to secure their classrooms swiftly and effectively. By enabling teachers to activate the Door Actuator during emergencies, this initiative ensures enhanced safety for both students and educators, particularly in rooms with outward-opening doors. The door actuator will extend through an L-Bracket with a hole in it to keep from being able to pull open the door. We plan to make it operational via wireless keypad or by a fob. The actuator is 3/4 in in diameter and has a minimum for 500 lbs resistance.
