Phase I

Course Description: This five day, Phase I EAST Facilitator Pedagogical Training is designed to prepare teachers pedagogically to begin developing and designing their own methods, procedures, for implementation of their own EAST Classroom.

Who should attend? Teachers assigned to facilitate a new or existing EAST Program.

Prerequisite: Building principal must contact PD@EASTstaff.org regarding the EAST teaching assignment.

 Things to Bring or Know:

Know your 2016-17 district/building calendar.  You don't have to bring it with you, just have an idea when things will fall during the upcoming school year. 

Flash drive (any size):  In the Google world these days, you might not actually need this, but just in case there is somethiing you want to save digitally and take home with you it might not be a bad idea to have one on hand.

Try to acqurie an up to date inventory of your software and hardware from your EAST Classroom.  You might want to enlist the help of a couple of EAST students.  This is not mandatory, but knowing what you have and don't have will help set your mind at ease when we discuss a lot of the equipment and softwares.  Please try to at least visit your EAST classroom if you are taking over an existing program. 

Class Schedule (if available) You should at least know how many periods per day you will have EAST.
