Technical Services Representative (Announced November 7, 2017)

Job Description

A Technical Services Representative primarily responds to help desk phone calls, web-based trouble tickets, and email support requests generated by both students and adults related to EAST software and hardware. The Technical Services Representative also provides support for hands-on technical training sessions, internal technical issues, as well as technical needs during EAST events.

The applicant must be a high school graduate with a diverse background in technology. EAST classroom experience is strongly preferred. Skills needed include server/network administration and experience with the standard software included in an EAST classroom. The ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing is required. The hours are flexible between 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. with additional hours available during the summer months. This position is open to applicants interested in either full-time or part-time work during an 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. regular shift located at the EAST Initiative office in Little Rock.

Program Coordinator (Announced November 7, 2017)

Job Description

The Program Coordinator serves as a direct connection between the EAST organization and EAST programs around the state and nation. Relationships with our programs are one of the founding principles of the success of EAST. The program coordinator is responsible for fostering and maintaining these relationships with educators and students to further the mission of the EAST Initiative. Support will include direct correspondence and on-site visits to EAST programs. Other duties could include the development and/or delivery of EAST pedagogical training, contributing to special projects, and participation in the planning and execution of EAST events. As a member of a well-established team, strong communication and collaboration skills are a must.

This position is full-time based out of our Little Rock offices. Occasional overnight and extensive in-state travel will be required. The applicant must be a self-starter and exhibit strong communication and collaboration skills. A comfort level and confidence must be established when communicating with a diverse population of school personnel. This position is a vital part of the innovation and creativity that continues to keep EAST relevant, efficient and effective. As such, true brainstorming, problem-solving, and planning skills along with a strong work-ethic are a must. Highly successful experiences in education are required. Successful experience as an EAST facilitator is strongly preferred.
