Director of Information Technology
The Director of Information Technology directly manages the Technical Support and Website Teams and collaborates with other staff on EAST training and support services.
This position is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of equipment specifications for EAST classrooms, and the installation process.
The Director of Information Technology is responsible for managing the network infrastructure, maintenance of servers both physical and virtual, managing online services,
as well as making recommendations to management on technology purchases and upgrades.
This position is full-time with some travel required. The applicant must be a self-starter and exhibit strong customer service, communication and leadership skills.
The Program Coordinator actively supports EAST programs and fosters relationships with educators (teachers, administration, and other educational support staff) and students to further
the mission of the EAST Initiative. Support will include direct correspondence, on-site visits, development and/or delivery of EAST pedagogical training, and participation in the planning and execution of EAST events.
This position is full-time and requires overnight travel with extensive travel being required at times.
The applicant must be a self-starter and exhibit strong communication skills and a comfort level when communicating with a diverse population of school personnel.
Successful experience as a previous EAST facilitator is strongly preferred.
Technical Support Group Member
A technical support group (TSG) member primarily responds to help desk phone calls and web-based trouble tickets generated by both students and adults related to EAST software and hardware.
The TSG Member also provides support for hands-on technical training sessions and internal technical issues.
The applicant must be a high school graduate with a diverse background in technology.
EAST experience is strongly preferred. Skills needed include server/network administration and experience with the standard software included in an EAST classroom. The ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing is required.
The hours are flexible between 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. with additional hours available during the summer months. This position is open to applicants interested in either full-time or part-time work during an 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. regular shift located at the EAST Initiative office in Little Rock.
