Students will learn how to create Objects and work with Objects in Python. Object-Oriented programming is a popular metaphor for working with data in complex applications. Students will design and write a ‘Virtual Pet’ game by implementing several Object classes for each part of the program. Students will work in teams of 3 and demonstrate their pet (if time allows). Along the way, other uses for Object Classes will be explained with connections to real-world applications.
Day 1
· Create the Program requirements – what features will be implemented.
· Prioritize the features – What must be done, and what would be ‘cool’
· Pseudo-code the features with pen and paper.
· Implement Object Classes
Day 2
· Design the user interface with pen and paper.
· Implement remaining Features
· Implement the Interface
· Debugging, Testing, and Release.
