2008 EAST Summer Seminar

2008 EAST Summer Seminar

Summer Seminar Recap

The 2008 Summer Seminars appeared to serve their purpose. Facilitators had a chance to learn new things from a variety of presenters, network with one another, dance, and even strike up a little competition.

Hawaii Seminar

On the beautiful island of Maui, this event lasted two days at the Maui Community College. The presenters delivered a number of sessions that provided information on support, tools for the classroom, hands-on GPS activities, special projects and much more. Even though the audience was small, the energy level was high and the feedback received was that the facilitators felt motivated and ready to begin the New Year.

Arkansas Seminar

Over 150 facilitators, trainers, and EAST facilitators came together in the quiet Victorian hamlet of Eureka Springs. Nestled in the Ozark Mountains, this 19th century town boasted the best of 21st century education for three incredible days of inspiration and professional development. In addition to sharing best practices and planning for the coming school year, the seminar featured a presentation from EAST founder, Tim Stephenson, and an unforgettable evening of music, dancing, and competition.
