Hamburg High School EAST creates social services resource manual.

At the beginning of the 2009-2010 school year, Circuit and Juvenile Judge Teresa French requested help from Hamburg High School EAST in gathering information for a much-needed resource manual for the Hamburg School District.  EAST students Haley, Rachel and Jennifer worked with Luanne Guin, Hamburg School District Social Services Case Manager, to compile information from a wide range of agencies and organizations who serve teens and their parents in this part of the state.
The students then organized, typed and formatted the information using applications such as Microsoft Word and Publisher, creating final electronic art and sending it to a local printer. The result is the “Hamburg School District Resource Manual–A Directory of Programs, Services, and Activity Resources for People of All Ages”.  The students were proud to present Judge French with the newly printed manual this summer. It is now available for families and the professionals who work with these families, providing them with a comprehensive resource for social services in the area.
