Nettleton EAST students assisted Nettleton Education Foundation recently in making the Academic Signing Day event a success.

Nettleton EAST students used their graphic design skills and classroom technologies to create materials for the annual event. Students Mandi, Tyler, Madison, Jodie, Hillary and Hailey designed invitations, programs, and certificates using Microsoft Publisher and Photoshop. Preston created a new logo for the program and invitation using Photoshop and Fireworks. The students also created a PowerPoint slideshow highlighting each student, their college, and their scholarship amount.

The EAST students also collaborated with NEF and National Honor Society in setting up and decorating the Family Life Center at First United Methodist Church for the event.  Students from both organizations also served as greeters and servers at the reception honoring the college-bound students.

The EAST students were recognized and thanked for their third year of assistance with the event. NEF presented the students with gift cards for their hard work.
