Arkansas Tech University is teaming up with EAST schools for the 2014 - 2015 National Service Project, "Ready, Set, Plan: Emergency Planning and Preparedness."

Through the Arkansas Tech University Assist-A-School program, students from ATU's Department of Emergency Management program will partner with one EAST student from each school who is focusing on National Service Projects this year.

The ATU student will be an important resource for EAST programs to complete their projects by communicating electronically and potentially through site visits.

This partnership allows EAST students access to experienced students in emergency management, while ATU students received externship hours and opportunities to work with EAST students on service projects.

Each school should choose one student to register for the Assist-A-School program and serve as the contact person between their school's NSP-focused projects and the ATU student.

Interested schools need to register as soon as possible. ATU will make every attempt to match students' particular disciplines with similar projects, such as weather-related projects.
