Dardanell High School EAST class makes Virtual Reality tour for local Police to assist in case of an emergency.

Dardanelle High (DHS) EAST student Erik has created a virtual reality map of the high school to offer the Dardanelle Police Department with virtual reality visuals of the Dardanelle High School building in case of an emergency. Erik shared the VRDL products with Officer Lonnie Moore from the Dardanelle Police Department and has plans to develop VRDL products of other school buildings in the district.

As a project from last year, DHS EAST students provided the police department with Google Sketchup animations of the district’s school buildings to assist officers in police training to address possible emergency issues in those buildings. Office Moore stated that the virtual reality maps combined with the Sketchup animations will greatly enhance their ability to respond to potential crisis issues should they develop in our building.
