Thursday, February 24 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm, at the Eureka Springs High School Cafeteria.

The Eureka Springs High School Lemelson-MIT InvenTeam cordially invites you and your friends to our Open House on February 24, 2011, Thursday, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm, at the Eureka Springs High School Cafeteria.

Meet our guest speaker from MIT, Ms. Leigh Estabrooks, who will talk about the Lemelson-MIT InvenTeam Program and answer any questions about MIT.

Ask our InvenTeam members to show you the latest on our LifeCane invention.

Join our Silent Auction and bid on your favorite items. Please help us raise funds for our trip to MIT in June 2011 when we will present our invention's working prototype.

The Eureka Springs InvenTeam will create a light-weight, easy to use and durable walking cane, called the LifeCane. Our invention will have a GPS feature that will enable the injured, lost, or missing, to be quickly and efficiently located by search and rescue personnel.

In addition to its built-in fall alert system, our LifeCane will also have lights to enable navigation in the dark and to avoid hazards. Our life-saving device will cost less than $100.00. Additional LifeCane applications include finding skiers lost in avalanches.

Light refreshments will be served.
