EAST students bring Operation Christmas Child to their school.

Ellie S., David M., and Kate J. are all from MacArthur Junior High School in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Their churches were conducting Operation Christmas Child and they heard about it and decided to bring it to their school, too.

Operation Christmas Child is a project where you can either donate money, toys and other products, or pack a shoebox with a bunch of fun toys for children all over the world. These children are not as lucky as we are and they may not get anything for Christmas. That's what the mission of Operation Christmas Child is — to impact children's lives.

The students asked classmates in EAST to pack a shoebox with toys and fun things for these children. They ended up with 12 shoeboxes this year, and hope to keep it going in the future. They also hope to increase their total amount of shoeboxes next year to impact more kids for Christmas.
