Ambassador Team Guidelines

Members of this team help solve problems, greet VIPs, and assist EAST staff in the thousands of details that come up during the three day event. Following are the roles and responsibilities for the Conference Ambassador Team. At the bottom of this page are instructions on nominations for this team.

Ambassador Team Roles & Responsibilities

Team Leader - The Team Leader will:

  • Work with EAST staff to determine the schedule for the Ambassador Team at Conference
  • Design a plan of action for covering the events of the Conference
  • Make initial contact with all team members prior to the Conference to discuss the plans and make sure everyone knows their roles and schedules
  • Meet with the Ambassador Team throughout the Conference and circulate to make sure the plan is being followed
  • Update the EAST Staff on progress during the Conference
  • Other duties as needed.

Note: If you do not receive the team leader position, you will still be considered for a team member position.

Team Members - Team members will essentially be the hosts of the Conference and must exhibit the following characteristics.

  • Outgoing
  • Articulate
  • Dependable
  • Mature
  • Well versed in EAST
  • Friendly
  • Responsible
  • Comfortable interacting with press, VIP's and guests.

Nominations for Ambassador Team Positions

If you are interested in being a part of the Ambassador Team, please ask your facilitator to complete a letter of recommendation including the following items:

  • Name and School Name of Nominee
  • Position Desired
  • Why the nominee should be considered for the position
  • Past experience/roles for nominee that would benefit him/her in the position
  • Days and times nominee can be reached by phone and a phone number
  • E-mail address of nominee
