Emma and Sarah Bailin received news this morning that they won the Ft. Lauderdale International Film Fesitval High School Competition for their documentary, "Return to Sender." The Bailins, who got the documentary film "bug" when they were EAST students at Horace Mann Middle School, competed against 400 applicants.

Five Paris EAST students recently entered photos in the youth photography contest at the 2008 Logan County Fair. All five students received 1st Place Blue ribbons. Lakeside High School’s EAST recently received a $15,000 grant for the purchase of new GPS equipment. The new equipment will be used in mapping Indian Trails in the Hot Springs, Arkansas area.
