AETN is partnering with the Thea Foundation to award four $2,500 scholarships to graduating seniors in the Arkansas Educational Television Network's Student Selects: A Young Filmmakers Showcase 2010.

Do you know a young filmmaker looking for ways to show his or her work? Student Selects: A Young Filmmakers Showcase is a program for kindergarten through 12th grade students, created to support, educate and celebrate Arkansas's youngest filmmakers.

New Scholarships!

AETN is partnering with the Thea Foundation to award four $2,500 scholarships to graduating seniors in the following categories:

· Screenwriting
· Directing
· Cinematography
· Editing

We encourage all types of submissions including but not limited to:

· Documentary
· Narrative (Short or full-length fiction film or sitcom, etc.)
· Animation (Hand-drawn, Claymation, Macromedia Flash, etc.)
· Short Form Video Diaries
· QuickTime Internet Shorts
· Music Videos

Our main stipulation is that in all of the submissions students played key roles in the development and production of each project. For scholarship consideration high school seniors must guarantee that they were the sole producer of the selected category during the creation of the film.

Entries for Student Selects 2010 will be accepted January 2010 through
March 15, 2010.

The program, now in its fourth year, premieres chosen films on AETN and on AETN.org. AETN also hosts youth filmmaking workshops and screenings of chosen films at the Little Rock Film Festival. This year's festival dates are June 2-6.

If you know a student whose media project meets these criteria please submit it for consideration!
