VIDEO TEACHES ELEMENTARY STUDENTS HOW TO PREVENT ILLNESS
12/16/2009 8:28:41 AM

Concerned about the spread of H1N1, seasonal flu and other illnesses that cause student absences, three EAST I students made a video designed to prevent disease transmission.

The video, created by the Brinkley High School EAST I team ‘Stay Clean' Productions, was designed to encourage elementary students to use good habits in order to prevent the spread of illness. The team, Tevin, Justin, and Carl, recently showed the video to a first grade classroom and also handed out brochures they published to reinforce the concepts shown in the video. The video and brochures were given to the elementary counselor to use with all elementary classes and were shown at the BHS student health fair. The educational items will also be used in Brinkley High School health classes and at the ‘Germ City' program at Clarendon Elementary School.
