EAST students Tyler and Kaitlyn won spots on the winning advertising team for the Real Heroes community service award competition.

The Bank of Cave City has just announced a new community service award. The new ‘Real Heroes' award, created by the bank to honor an outstanding member of the Cave City and Evening shade communities, will be presented quarterly (4 times a year). This person is someone who is nominated by the local citizens and must possess great leadership skills coupled with the heart of a volunteer.

Cave City High School students were chosen to market the new award. Two teams of four CCHS students competed for the right to advertise the award for the bank in an "Apprentice"-style competition. Students were asked to create a website, radio advertisement, television commercial, as well as print media to advertise the award for outstanding community service. The winning team included students Tyler, Whitney, Holly, and Kalah. EAST team members Tyler and Kaitlyn helped build the website as well as edit the television commercial.

The first recipient of the Real Heroes award will be Jamie King. Jamie recently raised over $13,000 by organizing a charity golf tournament for the Alex Cossey family. Congratulations Jamie King
