Brinkley High School EAST recently received a $941.00 GreenWorks! grant from Project Learning Tree (PLT), an award-winning national environmental education program for educators and their students in grades PreK-12.

Brinkley High School EAST recently received a $941.00 GreenWorks! grant from Project Learning Tree (PLT), an award-winning national environmental education program for educators and their students in grades PreK-12.

GreenWorks! is the service-learning, community action program of PLT that partners PLT educators, students, and communities in environmental neighborhood improvement projects. GreenWorks! blends service activities with the academic curriculum and addresses real community needs as students learn through active engagement.
 The Brinkley students will use the funds to purchase equipment and supplies such as binoculars, field guides, field notebooks, and magnifiers to be used in their 'Nature Challenge" project.This projects consists of a series of student activities designed to get young people outdoors to learn more about the natural community in which they live.
