BHS EAST students win award for Outstanding Nature Videography

Brinkley High School EAST students won the award for Outstanding Nature Videography for the documentary film "Arkansas Bottomland Hardwoods: Unlike Any Other" at the My Community Governor's Award ceremony at the Governor's Mansion April 30.

Click to enlargeBrinkley High School EAST students won the award for Outstanding Nature Videography for the documentary film "Arkansas Bottomland Hardwoods: Unlike Any Other" at the My Community Governor's Award ceremony at the Governor's Mansion April 30. The film describes the characteristics of this natural community, discusses it's importance and explains restoration efforts. The group plans to distribute the film to Arkansas schools to be used as a teaching tool. The group received training in filmmaking by attending EAST student training sessions and participating in the Delta Documentary Project sponsored by Audubon Arkansas.
