EAST Initiative Board Elects New Officers, Appoints New Member

The EAST Initiative Board of Directors is pleased to announce the election of new officers and welcome new Director Dale Johnson.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The EAST Initiative Board of Directors is pleased to announce the election of new officers and welcome new Director Dale Johnson.

The new officers are:
Mr. Jerry Damerow, Chairperson, and retired Partner of Ernst and Young
Mr. David Moody, Vice-Chairperson, and Principal, Jacksson David, LLC
Ms. Melanie VanZandt Bradford, Secretary, and Division Leader of Research and Technology of the Arkansas Department of Education

Johnson is the Senior Vice President of FIS’ Commercial Lending Group and brings over 35 years of experience in technology oriented business services. He is an active member of Parkway Place Baptist Church in Little Rock, leads community based volunteer projects and has been a featured speaker of outsourcing at conferences in Asia and Europe.

Johnson joins a prestigious group of business and education professionals that support the nationally recognized EAST Initiative that provides STEM project-based learning opportunities utilizing high-end technologies to primary and secondary schools.

“We look forward to the continued development of the EAST Initiative and are grateful to our Board of Directors for providing the support and advocacy to help us do this,” said Matt Dozier, the EAST Initiative President and CEO. “The 2014 – 2015 school year promises to be an important one for a lot of the programming of the Initiative.”
