Working with the Arkansas Game & Fish and UAPB, the students will receive agricultural training and learn about business management. At least two high school students will have the opportunity to earn an hourly wage while committing to supervising the project throughout the school year. The garden will be housed in Monticello Middle School’s greenhouse while students from MMS EAST will create activities for science and English classes. EAST students will be providing the plants for this project through their school garden. Hydroponics gardening is a growing trend today and the proximity of area fish farms inspired the project’s cooperation with Arkansas Game and Fish and UAPB Fisheries Department.
