Andrew Gossett, an EAST student and artist, used Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and a digital tablet to illustrate a 10 page coloring book which earned the approval of Arkansas Children’s Hospital outreach department.

Van Buren High School East students Shanda Morse, Andrew Gossett and Teonia Stites collaborated with Arkansas Children’s Hospital to make patient stays a happier time.  Shanda Morse and Andrew Gossett are current patients of Arkansas Children’s Hospital so they understand what a patient would like to do while in the hospital. The teens held a Hat Day at their school where students got to purchase a ribbon in order to wear a hat to school that day.  The students used the money that was raised to purchase 180 boxes of crayons.  Andrew Gossett is an artist who used Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and a digital tablet to illustrate a 10 page coloring book which earned the approval of Arkansas Children’s Hospital outreach department.  After the hospital approved the illustrations in the coloring book, they made 180 copies of the book to match the 180 boxes of crayons.  The coloring books and crayons were delivered to the hospital in person by Shanda Morse and her Facilitator, Angie Williams.
