Sylvan Hills and North Pulaski High Schools use EAST After Hours grant to train younger students.

The EAST After Hours Technology Camp for children in the Bill Harmon Recreation Center Day Camp wrapped May 5.

EAST students from North Pulaski High School and Sylvan Hills High School spent every Tuesday and Thursday from 4-5 p.m., February 1 through May 5 teaching Virtual Reality and Geo Caching to the third, fourth and fifth graders enrolled in the after school care program.

The high school students facilitated the use of Virtual Reality equipment, GarageBand and GPS rovers. The children created a virtual tour of the Harmon Recreation Center that can be viewed at: http://tinyurl.com/5vm4emg

The students also learned to use Juno rovers and ended that unit with a geocache treasure hunt for candy and prizes.
