Students create anti-drinking-and-driving brochure for area teens.

First-year EAST students Sammie and Ally of Wynne High School have created a brochure to encourage students to say NO to drinking and driving.

The girls compiled research and statistics for the One Wrong Decision brochure using data generated from recent surveys given by the Cross County Alcohol and Drug Prevention Coalition. They also used a specific well known alcohol-related crash which claimed the lives of two local teenage boys as the basis of the story behind the brochure.

By using local statistics and facts, the girls felt that the information would be relatable to area students.

The brochure was distributed to Wynne and Cross County school counselors, the Wynne Police Department, the Cross County Sheriff’s Department, local youth church groups, the Boys and Girls Club and other locations.

This project was sponsored by the Cross County Alcohol and Drug Prevention Coalition.
