For the second year, Nettleton EAST, Student Council, History Club, and National Honor Society assisted City Youth Ministries of Jonesboro with its annual Christmas party.

The students worked in the Christmas rooms making sure that the gifts were in the bags with corresponding numbers. A Christmas program was presented, and then families were given numbers and were escorted by a Nettleton student to their Christmas room to receive gifts for their families. Nettleton students matched the numbers and then served as runners, helping the families to load the gifts they had received. Students also helped clean up after the event.

Faith, who works at City Youth Ministries said, “That Nettleton is the best.” Nettleton provided over 35 volunteers to help make it a successful event. Volunteers are vital to the success of City Youth Ministries. Because of our students volunteering, the organization is able to ensure the success of its various events.

Students recorded footage of the event with their classroom's video camera and will use Final Cut Pro to edit it. The footage will be used in the program's EAST Conference video. Still photos were also taken at the event and will be edited using Adobe Photoshop.
