EAST students discover and solve complex problems in their communities, using teamwork and technology. EAST Night Out is an opportunity for classrooms across the country to share those projects with the public.
Most 2010 EAST Night Out events have taken place, and participation is up 29% over 2009. That’s good news! 128 schools scheduled events; that’s 65% of EAST schools!
EAST staff visited many events and saw formal presentations, hands-on demonstrations, individual project stations and trade-show style displays. The common theme? Enthusiastic students improving their communities and learning new skills.
Winner of $200 in EAST Cash, to be redeemed for EAST gear, was Brookland High School. Congratulations!
