Project Goal – What is the outcome/deliverable?:
Students designed an energy efficient house for Habitat for Humanity, created a coloring book, "ENERGY: The Raider Way to Save" and used ibookAuthor to create a digital children's book, students created an informational booth displayed at homecoming basketball game with brochures, coloring books, and ways to make your home energy efficient.
Purpose of Project – Who is the project helping and what is the project about?:
EAST students wanted to increase awareness by providing information to the public of effective ways to conserve energy at home, school, work, and community.
Future Plans:
Students plan to create additional ibookAuthor books for our elementary schools and might be able to participate in building with Habitat for Humanity in the summer of 2012.
Additional Information:
Students researched for energy efficient tips, contacted local vendors and utility companies for suggestions and any programs that are in placed to help people in our area to conserve energy.
