Let’s Power Up for Energy Efficiency

Energy powers our homes, schools, businesses, manufacturing plants, and the transportation of goods and services throughout America and the world. As energy prices increase, so does the need to conserve energy and find and use renewable energy sources. 

The EAST National Service Focus for 2011-2012 is ENERGY — conserving it, using it efficiently and finding new, sustainable ways to create it. We’re challenging EAST students across the country to learn more about their own energy consumption at school, at home and in their communities and to reduce it; and to put their EAST skills and innovative thinking to work to find and use renewable and sustainable energy sources wherever possible. Energy efficiency and renewable energy save money and help to save the environment at the same time.

Let’s spread the word to our families, schools and communities that it’s time to Power Up for Energy!
