Student Competitions

On of our goals for the Conference each year is to allow as much participation from students as possible. To encourage this participation, we host a number of student-centered competitions or opportunities before and during the Conference. Please encourage your students to review all the links in this section so they will know what opportunities they have to make a difference at the 2008 EAST Partnership Conference.

The Logo Competition is designed to help students learn what a professional logo creation project is all about. The winning logo is displayed in all aspects of the Conference including the web site, printed material (invitations, letterhead, the conference program), t-shirts, plaques, etc. (Complete)

The Poster Competition leads students in creating complex concepts and purposes on a single poster. Guidelines for this competition are very open ended to spark creativity. Finalists get to display their poster in the exhibit hall and winning posters are announced at the Conference. (Complete)

There are also several Project Competitions sponsored by our business partners who give the students a chance to showcase their efforts to industry professionals. Many of the partners have used past student project examples in their marketing and promotional efforts. Finalists may be announced prior to the Conference and asked to present their project to the designated judges. Winners are announced at the Conference.

A new opportunity that was introduced last year was for Student Created Music to be featured during the Opening Plenary and the Banquet.  Everyone was so impressed we decided to do this again. Although this is not a competition it is another chance for students to showcase their creativity.
